Kirstin Arnesen was one of the first hair stylists in Norway working for fashion magazines. She has since become a well respected and sought after hair stylist, appearing on TV and in magazines. Kirstin has also contributed to editorial articles in magazines such as FJORDS Magazine and Carl*s Cars and been written about in the big daily papers in Norway such as VG, Dagbladet, Aftenposten, Dagens Næringsliv as well as many of the major magazines. Kirstin is also member of a pan-European team of stylists and works on an ad hoc basis in Europe for various hairdressing events as well as the Fashion Week in Paris, Milan and London. She also works closely with Antoinette Beenders, winner of the prestigious award British Hairdresser of the Year, 2005.
Since Inch Barbershop opened its doors in November 2002, Kirstin has continuously put her energy into developing the concept. Today you’ll also find a Beauty Salon for women and a Day spa for both sexes as part of the Inch concept. This February Kirstin once again won the Hairstylist of the Year nomination. This year’s Hairstylist of the Year is Kirstin Arnesen who is also known as the hairstylist to most of Norway’s biggest celebrities. She runs Inch Barbershop & Beauty Salon in Oslo, one of the very few places where men is able to have a good, old-fashioned shave with proper knife. The award-winning Kirstin Arnesen has a confident, perfectionistic attitude that shows in her work.
In their consideration the jury paid attention to the winner’s ability to create sexy, trendy and innovative expressions. There is also a good variety of expressions in the presentation.
